Hoover Dam and Lake Mead

First time going.  Drove out from Vegas.  Very cool and perfect day for pics.

Its always a fun stop. Especially when getting out of the car and hiking around, or taking the whole dam tour.  ;)

Glad you enjoyed our state. I remember when there was no bathtub ring around Lake Mead. That lake used to be huge and eventually it will have as much water as a couple of bathtubs. Vegas has certainly outgrown their water supply and they are always trying to steal water from the rest of the state. They would have us dry as a bone if they could get away with it nearly 400 miles from them.

Great pictures!!   Linda and I went to Hoover Dam when we got married in Vegas.  If anyone has the chance, there is a tour that includes a ride on the river on converted floated bridges.  Neat way to see the dam and canyon from the bottom.

The wife and I went out in March to renew our vows for our 50th anniversary at the Little White Wedding Chapel. We spent all day (gamble at night) traveling around the area. Went all the different canyons and various other points of interest. This was our 5th trip there over the years and we never tire of going to Hoover Dam. Great picts.
