I know what it is a don't like it.
-
That's a lot of weight to move
-
That's not gonna work
-
Out with chrome to fit. But what am I doing?
-
Shit. More weights just to get to these.
-
All of those weights and all of those parts to get to what?
Figure it out yet?

Air filter?

Should be enough room and loose when I take these out. Yup, 1322 lbs removed to get at 2 bolts
-
Not quite. Had to make more room. Should be getting ovious now.
-
Should be real obvious now
-
Um.....i guess not.
-
All that to get the radiator out?
-
I see that your Mrs. holds back bolt containers for you as well. :))
Any hope for fixing it?
-
you been working it too hard, it needed a break. At least thats what I tell myself when my crap breaks down.
-
I thought maybe you were trying to get it back upright. :021: :lol_hitting: :hee20hee20hee: :P

I have no idea why that happens. It is when I post from my phone . If you click on them they will rotate and enlarge.

Must of over heated in all that snow! Having it repaired or bending over and getting a new one?

Well that sucks. I always liked how JD made their radiators come out the side, it's almost like they knew people would have to work on them.
If the local shop can't fix it, call Radiator Supply of Oregon. They always surprise me on the low side for replacement prices.

dropped it at the radiator shop this afternoon. he is going to pull the top tank off. if the core is good he will clean, refold and resolder it. a few hundred bucks
if not he is going to remove the top and bottom tanks and put a new core in it . that is a little more pricey at about 1250 bucks per his quote.
my other option is used. it would be pressure tested and repaired for a grand and my old core or new genuine cat for 2550.
i am more comfortable with either repair to mine than the used/repaired route.

Are you using an Iphone? I had this problem while using my Iphone so I would upload the pictures upside down and they would post correctly. It has something to do with microsoft intentionally not playing nice with apple's software.

Got the word. New core is ordered.
-
Here we go.
-
Didn't work on it all day but most of it.
-
The hood is shut. Glad to be done. I had the shingles and flu shot yesterday. Both arms hurt and feel generally crappy. Just like they said I probably would.
-
Lookin' good Harlan. Job well done!
-
Thats quite the job for a radiator R&R.

well i was beat up after the project. yes there was shit ton of heavy lifting but as it turns out what really kicked my ass was the shots.
i came in last night, took a shower, put my jammies on and crawled to the couch by 6. had something to eat around 7 and was back to the couch. seems after reading the bad side effects of shingles and flu vaccines that i had every one. fever, chills, nausea, bruising, muscle soreness, headache etc. i do npt recomend getting the 2 vaccines together. i hardly moved til almost noon today.

Yes, you made the same mistake that the wife and I made with taking both shots the same time. In our case my wife had the same effect that you did and I only had some soreness but nothing else. However, we would not suggest others take both shots at the same time. :a102:

Where was the boy to help with the heavy lifting?! :)) Good to see it it up and running.
