Spring upgrade for the 856. kind of a pain to trim the trigger spring down but its in and much softer. Gotta get some range time on it now.

Got mustang running, took it out for a ride, big time valve cover leak on right side, oops bolts weren't even hand tight. Need to get Monte Carlo bar back in and put timing light on it. No bubbles in over flow tank.......yet???  Need to take it on longer ride.  Had a hard time with shifter and it never got touched so have to look at that tomorrow. It  doesn't like coming out of reverse, Hurst Competition plus. Thought it was locked up but it did come back into neutral after jiggling it enough.

A 1/4 drill bit and a linkage tweak will fix that quick enough. Sounds like the head gasket needed some TLC...  :coffee2:

Bet if feels stronger, we like that. Are those Packard wires they still making them ?
One more question, what year is the Mustang ?

I've been known to get a little over excited about getting one running and forgetting to tighten something up.

Had a trail of oil follow me out the shop. you gotta screw the oil filter on tight. not just spin it up there :lol_hitting: :lol_hitting:

Nice looking car, styling was still good, newer models have their roots from that year.
I remember getting a ride in a Boss that a chick had. Was in the Navy, that thing had guts, impressive.

I think your dungaree dyno will feel some. Compression being balanced with the top end sealed up.

Took a little trip into Iowa on Sunday, to look at old tractors.   Visited Farmall Land Avoca Iowa, 2 buildings full of vintage red tractors, the lifetime collection of a retired International dealer.  All shiny, restored to original condition,  many rare models  I had not seen except in books.  The owner is going to liquidate in September,  so it was see it now or never.  Did I enjoy it?  Heck yeah.

Enjoying some R&R, finished some cosmetic touches. Hiding some things & changing the appearance of the hoses.

Can actually begin see some of the block ....

That stuff is cool. I could wander around for hours in there. American history, beautiful.

I have been stripping part off an old Cat 951 loader.    Lots of big parts started coming off today.

Those tensioner springs are death cannons if not handled carefully when installing new springs. Looks like there's some good parts left off the old gal.
