UPDATE

Got the original wrap off. Doc looked at it, didn't have much to say. Will see her next week to see about removing stitches. Pin will be in for some time yet.

Was quoted 2 months before returning to work fully (I wasn't happy with that). For now clean and redress daily. Therapy to come later I'm sure

(Yes I asked for purple )

How is the hand coming along Tim?

Look at the forum stats at the bottom of the page and it says Hiball is the newest member. Can we be so lucky?

Yesterday I went up to where our race track is to have a look what state it is in after 8" of rain in the last  two weeks, and we haven't  had a look at it for about six weeks. The track was in fairly good condition. I took a drive around the rest of the area our track is in to see what the roads were like.

It is the first time I've had a good look around since they have started logging in the area.

It is always a bit of a moonscape after harvesting and it is replanted.

Today I opened the track for a club member to do some shock tuning in his buggy.

After 3 days of blacksmithing last week, got back to the projects here.  Cleaned the gutters on the garage.  Reworking the hydraulics on my Farmall 460, drained the gear case to get rid of the water that accumulates there, new filter, drained the bucket cylinders, and new seals in the long hydraulic cylinder.   Mowed the road ditches with the M Farmall and the bush hog.  Then jumped on the rider and did the front yard.   Gonna sleep good.

Looks like everyone had a good time.  Kids love tractors.

Hows the hand doing?

You should keep that pin in, real handy for those hard to reach boogers.
Is the need enough? Or does the want suffice?

Heck, I was gonna say you should have had them attach a wire lead to the buried end and that extended pin could become a meter probe. Would save alot of time testing circuits!  :D

Seriously though, it looks alot better than I imagined it would. Hallelujah!

Washed and waxed the Olds.  Used a synthetic wax I had gotten cheap. Not terribly impressed with it. It didn't seem to dry and whiten like carnauba waxes I've used before. I also think it would have been beneficial to use a cleaner wax first.

Wasn't the easiest task with a 4 yr old who wanted to help and a 2 yr old that just wanted to touch everything.

None the less it turned out pretty good .

Finger is just about healed. Top part where the first knuckle is a bit infected, and still needs to re-scab over and heal.

Two more weeks off work. :( Starting to get into a slump and a bit depressed and moody. Always thought I'd get so much done if I didn't have to work. I rarely have ambition to get up and do something. And the 2 yr old is assuring me I am not suit for full time stay at home dad. :))

Was in the store a few days ago and figured I'd pick up some windshield washer fluid while I was there.  Pallet of RainX, didn't want it so went for the "pink" winter mix beside it.  I had poured half the container into the truck's washer fluid bottle as I idly gazed at the label.  Which read.  "Plumbing Anti-Freeze".  WHAT???  Can't believe they would put something that looked like washer fluid but wasn't, stacked with all the other washer fluids.   :38:
