Makes sense to me

I came across this picture on Facebook. I’ll let you guys offer suggestions as to why someone would do this other than “it was the only thing available.”

He wants to make sure to have some kind of zinc, copper, steel corrosion. Many of the late zinc-copper pennies I see are a green and white mess.

I thought about grounding as well but that wasn’t the reason given with the picture.

It's cheaper than a zinc plated washer.  ;D
