Title: Ratcheting chain binder comes back to life
Post by: oldnslo on June 07, 2019, 08:06:04 AM
Found at the dirt market all forlorn and abandoned, I had to take it home to be rescued. I have more than my share of chains and lever style binders for securing items on the trailers, but the ratcheting type was not in my collection. I spent more than a few hours on this task meant for those with time to burn (that does not include me), however it now rests quietly and awaits its turn (get it?....turn?) to be put to use.

Everything was bent on this from the cross shaft, to the ratchet, to the screw ends. It had seem some real abuse.

Nice fix , you did that old dog a good turn I mean you really ratcheted up the effort . It should now hold down a good spot the tool inventory and pull it`s weight when needed.
