Muddy, cost of the mover was $2500, 1973 .    Power company half of that.  Friend moved his 5 years ago, with permits, was all of 10,000.  He already owned the house and farm it was moved to.  Was also a 15 mile move thru mostly farm country.  I understand through urban areas it is much higher.

Those Impala's on those twisty X-Frames are really cool -- not the best frame, but they carried some of the coolest designs.

My mom had a 64 Impala convertible. After replacing the speedometer twice the dealer said no more as the real problem was my mom's right foot. As kids we were always amazed at how rigid the rag top got at over 100mph going to IA from CA on Route 66.
