Don`t like the plate he did, future weak spot.
Should have done a fish plate.

I would have done a miter cut in there. all that welding isn't nearly as strong as a nice tight fitment weld.

I wondered what the heck he was doing there.  Didn't seem correct to me but I've never built a frame before. Props to him for building a frame and his welding skills seems to be top notch
