It’s missing the original 7/16 & 1 1/8 wrenches ….. I’d be keen to find these for him ……. And would anyone know what would have been in the other small pockets ?

Very nice Proto cousins , cannot get a better wrench that that for sure.
-
Nice find! Would the smaller pockets fit 3/8 down to 1/4? Maybe there was a bit driver set.

Very cool set. Neverr seems nothing quite like it.

I see evidence of plier handles in those smaller pockets. Ignition pliers, slip joint, small channel groove pliers?

That would be an interesting pile to dig through.
iI see a king dick and a sweet machine tool.

Well Mark I went through some wrenches and found a Challenger 6014 7/16 in my stash. It is not pristine but serviceable as you can see in the pics. It is yours if you want it.

Sounds like Les has us covered for the 7/16, so still on the lookout for 3/8 and 1&1/8, I’d like to find some of the yellow handle Proto screwdrivers and maybe a pair of Proto slip jaw pliers as well mate .

I didn't really have a good look as it was nearly closing time. I did tip two bins out on the floor to rummage through. Did you notice the Walden-Worcester in the photo? Being stamped it is probably pre 1930's (I only know this because I googled it, thank whichever deity you believe in for Alloy Artifacts).

The history those spanners could tell eh!
