Engine painting questions

If I use the POR 15 engine painting kit, I would assume I can use any engine enamel I want. They offer a variety of colors in the engine enamel but I suspect I won’t want one of those colors. When I buy paint for the body and get a custom color, should the supplier be able to mix engine enamel in the same color? What do I need to know? What are my options?
