12 hours of that is mind numbing.

Life is good, if a bit out of my control.

One if the guys who does odds and ends at work asked how we work on thing day after day. I think it just gets to a point you just do it out of habit and it becomes no big deal. Other then the occasional bitch/cuss fit.

If life was in control wouldn't it be a but dull?

I was away from there a few years and little had changed.  It was like a time capsule in both the place and the jobs.  We are building up a Cat 3126 truck engine and each has a role, each does his part and its dull work.

The only good thing is one guy loves washing parts and saves me from that full time. :cool2:

A fastback Nova.  What were the engine options?

Beautiful.  :bravo_2:

If you can’t fix it with a hammer, it must be electrical.

Today three of us stuffed a Cat 3126 six in a Kodiak truck without lifting the cab off.  All the supports are bolted in.

It may be drivable by Tuesday.

I finally got a bike seat back from the upholstery shop after three weeks and rode it home.  It took him forever but well worth the wait for the comfort of a firmly padded sprung seat.
It looks a hell of a lot better than the duct tape cover it had when I got it.

Four day weekend for me as Thursday was Waitangi Day (equivalent to US 4th of July) and I took today, Friday, off. Pulled the broken suspension seat out of the RZR and took it to the upholsterer, who stripped it down so we can repair the broken frame. Once we repair it I will take it back to him to recover it.

.

Tomorrow I'll spend most of the morning watching the live coverage of the King of the Hammers rock racing from California.

I spent the day making a worn out axle take new kingpuns and trying to get the spindles back on a Cat426 backhoe.
It took near two days complete but today the boss was pleased that there was no play at all and he didn't need to buy any more parts.  Just new pins and bushings.

Got home and put a sealed bottom bracket in my bike replacing a worn out regular setup.  Fixed the kickstand on my boy's bike and finished building bike repair stand V2.0.  Now I can spray that tomorrow.

Sunday is lazy day for me.  No home repair planned or garden work.  Just a bike ride with the kids.

Don't you Georgia boys know to always have a full tank before you go play in the snow?

Three days of last week were spent on the front axle of this.  Fill weld wear to fit new pins and bushings.

This week started with an oil change and filter service on this beast.  The oil pan is in the shop to attempt to remove a badly stripped drain plug.

A good upholsterer is worth his weight in gold.  :PDT_Armataz_01_37:

On site this morning to check the temporary traffic management side of the commissioning of a temporary signalised pedestrian crossing on one of our major construction sites.

Stopped at the beach to have a look at the sunrise.

Now going to find some breakfast before heading to the next site meeting at 8:00am.

My son got a basketball for his Bday.  He asked me for a hoop.   So today I whipped one up from scrap.

He 'suggested' to mom he needs a smooth floor too
 :)

I got off easy it seems.
