Our club is running a round of the National Off-road Racing Championships on Saturday. I've got tomorrow and Friday off work to help with the final set up but it is going to chuck it down tomorrow, about 1.5" of rain and another half an inch on Friday morning so I took this afternoon off and set out the pit markings in the dry. I'm now painting them in the dark by the headlights of my ute.

Or should be committed?   :-\

Tell me about it!

Because marques can't be had for love nor money this weekend we have scaffolders erecting a frame and they are going to shrink wrap it instead.

The rain yesterday didn't stop in the morning as predicted and we had more rain today than predicted as well, so unfortunately this morning we had to make the decision to postpone the event for two weeks as the track was too wet to race on. I could barely walk across it today without falling on my rear. So instead of scrambling to do the final event paperwork and rushing around town to scrutineer race cars (I had three to do tonight), I sitting at home watching TV drinking rum and coke.

A little bit of teaser footage from two weeks ago when the track was dry

Those camera drones have sure changed filming forever.
Very cool
Is the need enough? Or does the want suffice?

Cleaned up the dock, the kayaks and boat. It's almost a weekly job due to all the insects and debris that the squirrels and birds leave behind. Not complaining at all. I'm glad I'm not riding a desk anymore and can do these chores when I feel like it.

Still lots to do in the garage, but taking a small bite day by day.

They are incredible. Not so good if you get too close.

With racing cancelled I had the chance to have a sleep in, then head down to the food show that was on at the stadium but there was a huge queue to get in so gave it a miss. I ended up at he Mount main beach for lunch from one of the food carts/trucks.

Quite a nice mid winter day, 18C (64F). Someone was even setting up for a beach wedding.

Finished the day at a mate's for a bbq and drinks to celebrate his birthday.

The cake even have a 10mm socket.

As usual at Jason's events, there was fire.
