Nice Chapman kit! I have a "mutt" set where I collected the various pieces one at a time and then found a yellow case.

Don't know when Matco made the comfort ratchets. And my AR4 is a 1/4" drive model. Would love to have the longer 1/4" and one each of the 3/8" versions.
I started with just the 1316 set in the little yellow pouch.

From there I eventually added on and bought a case, then added more a few months back and bought this larger more modular case to hold it all.

I knew your Matco was 1/4 , I thought you said you wanted to put the 3/8 kit in it.

I used some rewards points to get this Craftsman set for I think $15 at the local hardware a couple weeks ago.
The ratchet isn't quite as good as the " reverse gear " stuff, but it's not a bad little set.

The case is extremely bulky and oversized,  but the insert comes right out and everything is held in pretty well so the rest of the case is pretty unnecessary.

I think the only reason you'd want the case ( same one drill bits come in I think ) is because you can attach them to eachother,  one could create a pretty cool 1/4dr kit that way because they have a regular 1/4 socket set that comes in this same case.

This is the one I have. Reverse Gear clearly marked, one side is 1/4" hex and the other 5/16" hex. Both reversible ratcheting. I usually put the Champion adapter in the 1/4" drive end and use sockets. Husky # 66604

Cool! nothing protrudes from the back of the head. Good for tight spots.

Just a hair so you can push it out a little to make removal easier.

This Easco is one of my favorite 1/4dr ratchets, it seems the NAPA and K-D rebrands are more common but none are anywhere near as common as a Craftsman of the same era.

It's like a 2rd generation Craftsman raised panel minus the oil fitting, I'd much rather have one of these though.

I do like round knurled handles!

These are the EASCO I like. Round knurled (3/8 and 1/4) and paint brush handles (1/2, 3/8, and 1/4).

How does the Easco paintbrush handle compare to your MATCO ( WRIGHT 2426 ) ?
I have been interested in one for awhile, but I tend to forget or things just get in the way of acquiring one.

I think I may have inadvertently become a collector of 1/4" ratchets now that I think about it, I always intend them for use but I can really only use so many.

I normally don't like smooth, polished, ergonomic ratchets. Once my hands get even a little greasy it's difficult to hold on to them. Especially the smaller 1/4"ers.

That being said, both of these are very comfortable to hold, and as I get older (high torque wrenching less, more arthritis) I'm beginning to change my view on smooth tools. They both have smooth, fine actions. Almost indistinguishable to me. Both of the 1/4"ers are small heads, too. Hard to pick a fav.

To be totally honest I'm really favoring my HF composite ratchet these days. Bigger handle, but grippy soft handle and absolutely great to work with. Not collectible, so, I'm not at all afraid of damaging or losing it.

It sounds like they're both pretty similar,  and that's what I was hoping.

I'm going to have to add one to my short list.

I thoui just checked the Easco 71 1103 off the list and I was happy,  but I made a mistake.

It turns out the socket set I just bought has the 73 1107 3/8 ratchet , I saw 1/4 drive and bought it.

Sadly it turns out to be the 91525 set , I'll be happy to have everything but I really dislike those 3/8 + 1/4 combo sets with a 3/8 ratchet and a reducer for the 1/4 sockets.

Let me look thru my stash. I may have a "spare" 1/4" paintbrush handle. I know I have a 1/4" round handle spare - can't recall if I have the smooth spare.

This is the set I " accidentally " bought .
New condition, the Ebay seller has more.
No case, not sure if they have the packaging or not but condition is listed as new and nothing seems to be used.

7 1/4dr sockets- 6pt 1/4-3/8
5 3/8 sockets - 12pt7/16-3/4

It's not the 1/4 ratchet I wanted to check off my list, but I'll definitely use it.

I have a spare 1/4"er paint brush handle.  :great:
It's yours if you want it.
