A Bonney flip socket, 5/8x13/16, chrome. What in the world would you use this for?

Those 2 sizes are the de-facto standard for spark plugs. Though there are other sizes, like 3/4" and 18mm for small engines and such, this one socket would replace 2 sockets for the vast majority of automotive spark plug hex sizes.

Like OnS said a spark plug socket as the rubber ring inside the throat is a giveaway. Don't be surprised if you ever find a 7/8" sparkplug socket as those are for some aircraft engine plugs.

I looked at the listing and the seller doesn't even know what it is used for as a "specialty" socket but he knows he wants $30 for it. ::)

^ yeah, but it's free shipping.

The seller is no tool slouch, as all their items for sale are tools. Clearly, this seller is an expert.  ;)

I guess I should have guessed spark plugs. I mostly stick to diesels, don't do spark ignition much except for my chain saws. If I could find a diesel chain saw, I could put those spark engines behind me forever!

Ask, and 'ye shall receive:

Flame at 3:17
Starting fluid at 5:25
Joy at 6:19

I was a bit underwhelmed at the whole thing, but hey, it might spark you to learn a new language. Get it? Spark?  :)

Oldnslow, I know they make 'em, I just need to find one at a garage sale, cheap enough I can afford it.
