Absolut vodka shame
« on: July 01, 2022, 07:02:37 PM »
Talk about shamefully jumping on the bandwagon.
Love the" giving back line "
Does that even make sense?

Is the need enough? Or does the want suffice?

Alright. Now I see where you were going. Really hate to see these companies and their chosen direction. Not that absolute matters. We have Tito's here but being they are from Austin I doubt their direction is any different. Though I will say advertising like that turns me off. I quit Hershey when they let their employees go over the Rona vax stuff. Not supporting that kind of Nazi type behaviour with my hard earned money.

A guess that marketing strategy pays off.  Or they hope it does.

I don't drink and when I did I didn't drink Absolut so I was never their target market

These companies have huge marketing budgets and their extensive research must show that this strategy is good for business. My gut tells me that it's probably not good for business in the long term. I remember the P&G Gillette brand tanking with male consumers after their failed "woke" ad campaign a few years ago. They wound up taking an $8 billion write off due to the Gillette shaving business tanking among consumers.

I for one haven't touched a Gillette product since --

It's a crock of shit.  I'm so sick of corporations jumping on the progressive bandwagon.  If I can avoid doing business with them, I will.

Probably in Europe somewhere. They wouldn't take that kind of chance in the Americas or Asia.

I just hate when companies pull this shit but will go against anything conservative claiming they want to keep politics seperate from business.

They're not against politics, they simply choose to support only the side who the media allows to voice complaints.
They have a way of making it seem like a minority of our population is the majority by giving them the loudest voice, and I just don't know where things went wrong.
