I saw that this morning on one of the internet news sites. There was no real reason given, except that the police had a problem with the hiring of a "progressive" female city manager. I'm sure there is a backstory to this report which will be presented in a few days.

Whole police depts have quit and/or been fired in Maine, as have Fire Depts(not full time but Volunteer). New bosses mean change and sometimes change ain't welcome.

Sometimes an individual has to move on. There are certain non starters for me and have left jobs over them . Be it the mgmt or the "new" ideas the mgmt want to enforce, I'm not married to any job.

Well now, it seems the race card is being or has been played. Sad people can't or don't want to get along. Either way it appears this town is in need of some law enforcement officers.

Sounds like the new city manager may be a trouble maker. She already sued a former employer.
