India's population surpasses China's

I was surprised when I read this a week or so ago.  Wasn't even on my radar. 

Wonder what that will mean for markets, economies, balance of power, etc,

I personally feel better that a somewhat friendly country has more people then China but that may be a fool's folly.

Seriously how do you feed that many people.
I was in India nearly 30 years ago and the amount of people was staggering as was the poverty then.

That many people so close to each other geographically coupled with differing political, ideological, and religious differences can't end well in the long term. Eventually China and India will be competing for the same limited resources and regional domination -- what could go wrong when two regional nuclear powers are going down this path? -- it's a rhetorical question --- LOL

I had to google that, its close but China is still ahead by about 5 folks    Ridiculous amount of people that will starve to death before its over
