ReStore Delta Saw
stokester:
At one of the local ReStore outlets, don't remember the price. I don't need it but this 3/4hp saw looks heavy duty although looking at that cord I'd do some rewiring.
TexasT:
Radial arm saws sure do take up a lot of real estate. My dad had one(I'm sure he still has it) when I was growing up. He would turn that motor/blade 90* and runs stuff through. I'm sure he was afriad of the kick back as I know we were run off in case it did.
Crazy how many cheap ones come up on Facebook and craigslist. If I had the room I'd have one of these industrial ones as a conversation piece as the little miter saw is way more storage friendly.
goodfellow:
Great quality saw, but for some reason they have gone out of favor. They were a staple in many shops back in the 1960's and 70's. I'm guessing that there were too many accidents and lawsuits associated with that type of saw, and their popularity waned.
I confess that the radial arm saw scares me the most of all the heavy workshop saw designs. It's crazy what damage and injury those things can cause.
fatfillup:
I love my radio alarm saw.
They don't bring much at auctions. I did buy one and have used it a few times
