Ruger Rehab

Recent little project to put some shine back on the old single six. The OEM black on the grip frame was chipped real bad.

Nice job. What did you use to color it ? Ceracoat? I’ve tried some of the Paint products and haven’t been impressed. I think ceracoat is my next adventure

Elroy doing nice work as usual. The speckeled primer is a cool look on it's own.

That's not primer. That raw aluminum fresh from the blaster.

What did you use to color it ?

That's just semi-gloss black out of a spray bomb.

It might be a stretch to call that single-six a hog leg. After all it's just a .22 Granted it's shown with the magnum cylinder.

The pre-model 25 N-Frame in .45 ACP is more like a hog leg. Just like a Snappy ratchet. They're just cool tools but for a different job.

Tell Elroy I like his taste in wheel guns.

If you're like Elroy and a hold preference for a Smith and Wesson....................Pick your poison

These are all .38 special with a .22, .357 and a .45 tossed in for verity. The oldest is the M&P model of 1905 at the top left. It's well over a 100 years old in mint condition !!
The newest is at the bottom right. It's a 1970 vintage model 19-2 in 357 Magnum.

Elroy has been referred to as Revolver Boy by his local auto lover friends. Elroy has a few autos as well, but the revolvers catch Elroy's eye  :)
