                                                         Beau

Beau our adopted Eight week old Cavapoo puppy. A mix of both the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and the Poodle. He weights in at six pounds and should grow to 15 pounds like his parents. He will join his 13 year old brother Baxter behind my bicycle..

Can’t get more into the “cute as heck” zone than that little bundle of joy. Congrats OCG

Dogs are truly a gift from God.

                                                  Man's best friend...

Some say they're just a dog. But they're always by my side

He may be only eight weeks old, and in my household for 25 hours. He already found a place near me in the shop.

My newest family member is growing up fast.

He weighed a mere seven ounces at birth. He was one in a liter of eight. Pictured above with his mother at one week...She is a Cavapoo that weights 15 pounds. His father is a miniature poodle that's 10 pounds. One would think he'd be somewhere in between when he's full grown. The average weight of a Cavapoo is 18 pounds. He's now 12 weeks and weights nearly 11 pounds. From the growth charts he may be as much as 25 pounds...

Four weeks old

Eight weeks old

Twelve weeks old with his brother

Twelve weeks with his cousin in South Carolina going shopping at Walmart..

Sixteen weeks with his brother

Just for fun... Christmas day dressed in a Santa Claus outfit

Best friends that one can have.  He is cute, but never seen a puppy that wasnt.  Recently I counted up the dog friends I have had in the last 70 years, think it is 19.  Some mutts, a few great ones like my black lab that shared my life for 15 years.

I was lucky enough to have adopted eight dogs in life. And I'd be hard pressed of a favorite. Dogs always provide us with both companionship and unconditional love. Just about all dog owners, myself included, describes their dog as a family member.

Mrs. OldCarGuy refers to our two puppies as our only children left at home.

It's not all fun and games around the OldCarGuy's complex. Making a safe area for my new puppy to play in. I decided to fence in an area behind my house and two garage. It may just be a temporary enclosed area so I chose not to put in a chain link fence. Plus the cost of fence supplies are total ridiculous. Today's cost for a galvanized steel tube post is $27.00 and 36 would be required. So I recycled the posts from a garden area I was abandoning after 25 years. At my age it's difficult working that low to the ground...  I needed a double gate to get the mower inside, and 250 feet of wire fencing and good to go...

The old post driver I created some 60 years ago.
