Picked these up a couple of weeks ago and took them for a spin on the wire wheel. Any info on them? Pre WW2?
-
What size drive are they?
-
1/2" drive

Gazza will be frothing at the mouth over those!

Nice looking old set. Hard to find complete sets of old sockets
-
They were in a crusty old tub covered in dirt and rust. There's one more socket that I couldn't fit on the rail.
-
It looks like those could be Dxx series sockets from the late 20's to early 30's.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Those are 12 pt sockets pictured. Also got some six point ones to clean up.

No help, but great find!

Thanks Muddy. The main reason I was there was to pick up an OTC tool box. (Pics coming soon) Guy had a fair amount of tools and a lot of odds and ends. Paid $60 for a CRV full of junk, then sold some Nissan tie down cleats for more than I paid for the lot so it's all gravy now. ;D

If all sockets were knurled like this there'd be no need for thumb spinners.
