Big Tech Censorship
« on: January 11, 2021, 09:54:44 AM »
I hope this censorship is an awakening.
I don't use Parler or Twitter and only used Facebook for market place, but I am blown away how Google, Apple, and Amazon collaborated to shut down Parler.
I canceled my Prime membership today.

Good for you. I used Facebook to participate in a mini truck group and sell some odds and ends. I deleted the App Saturday. I won’t buy off Amazon again. We only have our money and participation to use against these tech overlords.

I quit Amazon some time ago, I use them to check their price then buy it from someone else.

I don't use FB, Twitter, Instagram, or any of the other sites that are acting like dictators. And I use Startpage or DuckDuckGo for a search engine.
And I'm not buying another thing from Bezo's Amazon. I do shop for a few items at Whole Foods as no one else in town has them, but that'll be on thin ice from now on, too.

Deutshce Bank is dropping the President as a client for banking services, even after he becomes a private citizen. So I guess all those years of doing business with him and their making money from the ventures produced no loyalty at all.

And it looks like GoDaddy just de-platformed a gun site (AR.15). They ain't wasting any time going after 2nd ammendment devices.

Crap, thought someone would fill me in but I was wrong.  quick google search told me that Apple and  Google have removed Parler (which I had barely heard of) has taken it off their app stores.  Yes this is quite concerning.  Hopefully it is a knee jerk reaction that will be corrected quickly.

I don't do any social media so I was in the dark

Amazon also removed parler from it's server. Basically making it offline till the creator finds another hosting server.

I've gotten 6 or so warnings for posting cat memes.

More concerning that parler is the fact that twitter took Trumps account offline, while he was still the President. and no one was too concerned about it. A sitting president was censored by private individuals. We are certainly living in interesting times.

Just as concerning is that Twatter hosted child porn and wouldn't remove it as it didn't violate their guidelines or policies.

Closing down conservative lines of communication is the first step to demonizing us and then going after the guns. Conservatives won't be able to warn others out -of-state if the internet channels are down.
