Anyone got any pics of a =v= series speed wrench? Im looking all over for them and the ones i find dont look correct for that era
-
I think this one is correct for 1/2" drive. Someone correct me if not.
-
Two more
No part number anywhere.

Greyowl, that is correct for the 1/2 drive. The 3/8 has a similar knob, but it doesn't have a spinning grip.
Here's an example. Not mine.

They weren't cheap but most everybody had a Sears charge card so they could pay for them over time.
-
No charge cards for me but I did use the layaway option pretty heavily.

Sorry to say, but Elroy doesn't have any speeders to show ya. I can however advise, that early Craftsman (no part number), that are "V" stamped, were probably manufactured by "Velchek"
Sorry for the late response

For my 16th birthday in 1978 pop bought me a full set of CM 1/2" shallow sockets complete with the 32" sizes, 6" & 10" extensions, a wobble joint, break over, fine tooth ratchet, and a speeder. My speeder looks just like the one pictured.

I love those old speeders of that era , I got a couple that see regular service ….. a Williams & a Husky

Speeders often come my way. Just happen to have the 1/2 speeder Grey owl posted and the brace drill that matches it. Now I have to go digging to see exactly what I have.
