New roller stack.
« on: February 23, 2019, 10:13:26 AM »
Picked these up last night, haven't even had time to unload them from the truck. This is the Craigslist pic that I saved:

He was asking $100 for the two, and they sat on CL for five days before I sent him a not, asking if they were still there. He couldn't meet me until last night and I had to drive 2 hours to Portland to pick them up. Paid full price, as it was so cheap. Early Proto top box and a Pressweld roller. Even has the panel for the bottom. Here they are in the back of my truck:

I know nothing about the roller, but the box is a treasure. Any idea what year it might be?

Very nice! The roller sure looks like Plvmb/Proto of the same era. The pulls are a close match.

I need to slow down reading the listings, I never saw them.

The top box is somewhere between 1949 and 1956

Pressweld was a division of Pressteel, the makers of Plomb/Proto boxes. Here are some more pics

Man you suck.  That stuff is virtually non-existent here.  I had to drive to Alabama to get the box in the attached pics.

That is a unique box.. great score.
Is the need enough? Or does the want suffice?
