COLE TOOL MFG. BENCH VISE
« on: March 18, 2019, 08:38:39 PM »
I picked this vise off Facebook today. It was about 45 miles from home. It's a Cole Tool Mfg. from Chicago Hts , Ill. Model 11. I've seen these on CL before and I've wanted one for a while now. It mounts with one hole on the rear and swivels from side to side. It's pretty darn heavy too. I don't think the handle is original either. When warm weather ever comes back I think I'm going to paint this .

That is an od duck.
Is the need enough? Or does the want suffice?

The mounting method strikes me as odd. You think maybe there was a base of some sort?

I think that is the base. It seems like a weak point too me. I posted this over on GJ and was given a link to this vise and drill press. Thanks to mikeswrenches  for the link.
