Les (aka DeadNutz) passed away 3/29/2022 due to complications that arose from lung surgery. He was a long time GG member with many friends on the forum, and actively pursued his aviation interests by living and working close to his local airport where he enjoyed the camaraderie of other flying enthusiasts and aviation interest group related activities. 

Below is what his wife Pam wrote to the GG about Les' passing

To All,

This is Les' wife Pamela, to inform you all that Les (DeadNutz) passed away this Tuesday morning, March 29th. Les may or may not have spoken about the mass on his right lung that has plagued him for the past two plus years. A freak growth that affects only a rare number of people. Because of the Covid delays, the surgery he needed was postponed until March 25th, to which specialists deemed his situation as emergent after reviewing current imagery. He did undergo a very tough surgery on Friday March 25th, with a great deal of blood loss. He was in ICU since Friday under continued heavy management and monitoring. His team of doctors and nurses loved him, took excellent care of him and performed an impeccable job for which I'm eternally grateful. The long and short is that the trauma and affect to his vital organs became septic and the onslaught of kidney issues was beginning to affect his heart. He took a downward turn late last night. The delicate balancing act of attempting to keep him stable and syncing all facets of his system, was an ongoing challenge. His system simply wasn't strong enough to endure and keep fighting. He looked forward to the surgery and knew the risks associated. He was always positive. I made the decision to have the ventilator removed as there was nothing more that could be done to change the path he was on. He would suffer no more.

I wish to Thank all of you from the bottom of my heart who corresponded with Les regularly and for this wonderful forum/opportunity to befriend so many special people who meant the world to him. You know who you are. Les enjoyed this site so much and spoke aloud about many of you, your projects and the incredible mechanical ingenuity so many of you possess. He even kept some lists of tool preferences by some of the members here.

His wife Pam just posted it in a thread under DN's name a few minutes ago. -- sad for sure.

I am thankful Pamela let us know and what a thoughtful post she wrote.  Les will be missed for sure

He was always so gracious with his praise of projects I completed. And he was a fountain of encouragement and recommendations for all.

He just messaged us a few days ago. I can't believe he's gone.  :03:
