Title: Estate sale find: 7-2-20
Post by: bonneyman on July 02, 2020, 06:05:45 PM
Only a few small pieces but definitely post-worthy. New Britain bent tip needle nose, Proto 9680 #0 phillips, and a set of soldering tips for my old Weller iron. Can't have too many Betrgrip phillips, bent nose needle nose are always a plus, and the soldering tips don't last forever.
But the Vaco two tip driver has some mystery to it. Says VACO USA TAC 2441. Is it a factory tool or did someone modify it? If they did it is a class A job. If I were still doing AC full time this thing would be a daily pocket tool, with the short wide tip used for removing oil caps off of motors, and the small cabinet driver end used for thermostat screws.

Vaco must have made a ton of specialty tools. I got one similar but IIRC it has a 5/16 nut driver and a swappable screwdriver at the other end
