Gang,

The last time I used a ridge reamer was in the 1960's or early 1970's.  Still, a good and useful tool though.

Are they even usable anymore on these Chinese, designed-to-fail, aluminum block motors they make these days?

Some of still work on American iron. ;D

Is that a 1/4 speeder wrench ?
Pretty dang cool if it is.
I still am trying to come up with a way I can make one.

Yes its a 1/4 speeder. A first for me. Now I got a 1/4, 9/32, 3/8 and 1/2. Don't think I've ever seen a 3/4 speeder but if I do I'll probably buy it too. :))

HnS,

Good vintage speeder wrenches are plentiful and easy to find.  Try garage sales, pawn shops, flea markets, etc.

Also, I'm sure that someone here on the GG has got a spare or ten.  Post up a "Wanted" to buy or trade.

Last but not least, speeders are still handy & practical tools.  They have their place in your shop.
When my wife leaves me, my dog dies, and they repossess my home, I'll still have my tools.
