Mac bought the Yorktown tool box plant in the 70's or 80's and used it to make their own boxes. I found that out when I was researching the Yorktown box I have.

It took a bit of practice to work out how to use it with my right hand ..... I bought that one when I worked in the US nearly 20 years ago, you can see by the wear on it it doesn’t get much use , especially seeing it’s only inches and feet .....a south of the equator specific metric tape is my usual go to measuring stick!

Midnitemack,

Nice looking tool boxes, both of them.

Curious... what are the dimensions on the cantilever carry box?

Also, I am not familiar with the SAFA brand.  Where is it made?

When my wife leaves me, my dog dies, and they repossess my home, I'll still have my tools.

Gary, it’s 16” long , 8”wide and 6” high excluding the handle , nice size to throw in a vehicle with the essentials.....funny how the essentials seem to get more .... I started out with a tool roll like yours......

Made in NZ , here’s the link to the manufacturer,

https://www.safa.co.nz/

The Economizer box was made by Beach in Canada. Early 1990s. they also made the Husky boxes in that time frame.
