Carburetor hairpin puller.

  If you have ever worked on a GM carburetor you know that a hairpin puller is a must have.
The last version of this tool was sold by Lisle as part # 46500 but is no longer sold. The one i have was purchase off a MAC truck around 1974.

Now after searching i found that T & E Tools a company in Australia sells the same tool as part # 4357. It sure is strange that T & E Tools US does not sell part # 4357.

   Talked to T & E tools USA and they said they don't stock carb pin puller # 4357 yet. The man said they might start stocking the tool if more people call and ask about it.

I'm surprised that he didn't ask- what's a carburetor? 

How many hours of your life did you waste looking for the pins you dropped or propelled before you bought the puller?   I think I bought mine from Snapon in the mid to late 70's.  Seem to remember that it was kind of pricey.   A pair of fine tipped hemostats will work in a pinch-------------pun intended

   Snap-on and MAC both sold the same pin puller back in the 70's. I wish they still sold them.

That's a shame! Still a good many carburetors out there that need servicing, but I guess they did the math and decided to drop the model. Maybe one of our NZ or AU friends can get a hold of one and ship it to the US or you. Might be worth the shipping costs.

Always used needle nose pliers for those, as for the E ring.

Lisle is an incredible company with excellent customer service. Some years ago I had a warranty issue with a Lisle PS pump puller. The guy helping me was way up the food chain, like the VP level or something like that. His solution was to send me out a new kit, the whole kit. The one sent was their new and vastly impro ed model over their former design that failed on me. I would not hesitate to call them and see if they would sell you the item of interest. You might be surprised,  they might just do it. The worst that could happen is they would turn you down. You  never get what you don't ask for!
