Rotary converter
« on: November 29, 2018, 05:03:15 PM »
I have been looking at rotary converters as I need to get the 3 phase for my mill, bandsaw and 16" disk sander. I called TEMco and they said the 5hp would work for my 1hp and 2hp machines. I then asked them about their altitude restrictions above 3300' elevation and was told I could have cooling problems with the motor due to the thinner air at 5000' elevation. They said the 7.5hp would be better suited for me. The 7.5hp unit would be $653 plus tax and includes shipping which is the best price I found for a new unit. http://www.phaseconverter.com/

I'm looking for some input from any of you knowledgable about rotary converters.
