Title: Saw a Herbrand tool box
Post by: bonneyman on March 18, 2019, 10:53:16 PM
Came across this box at an out of town antique store over the weekend, but it was too rusty and a bit expensive. Had my SIL take a pic with her phone and email it to me - detail is not the best. But it is a style of box I'd like to get. Love the handle design.

Looks like the same style as Proto/P&C/Plvmb.
How much was it?

I have a Plomb like that, and I saw a few of that design at a swap over the weekend. Not uncommon.

I think it was around $35. Could have been less. I was looking at alot of tools in that sellers booth.
I probably would have snagged it if the rust along the hinges wasn't so bad. Inside bottom was also pretty red. Since the weight is all on the hinges when you lift it I didn't want to chance it.
