Too bad. Nice looking American made boot!
Theres hope yet.
I ordered some black oil resistant Goodyear wedge soles, and some barge cement.
I'm going to resole these myself because I don't have a lot to lose.

Never done it before but the process is fairly simple on a Goodyear welted boot, which is supposedly the entire purpose for this type of construction.

Peel off the old outsole
Prep the surface
Apply cement to both parts and wait till tacky.
Carefully place and pound like crazy with a heavy mallet to ensure a good bond
Trim off the excess and finish the edges.

I know most professional cobblers use a press, but I don't have that so I'm just gonna make a last out of a something.  You've just gott have something solid inside the boot when pounding.

The wife came home for lunch today bearing gifts. It is the DeWalt Atomic series 20V Max lithium ion brushless Compact 1/2" drill/driver set. It came with the tool, 2 batteries, charger and bag for $99 from MSC as their hot deal for July. The rep called her last week to tell her to get an order in as they were going fast so she ordered 4 of them as some guys in the shop wanted some. She also got the Irwin impact bit set for an additional $25. I have Makita tools but this DeWalt is much smaller and lighter and will fit in a tighter space and also easier for her to use.

MAGA

If you can’t fix it with a hammer, it must be electrical.

50 to 250. I bought it for the heads on my Mustang and to check the anchors on my lift.  The tendinitis in my arms has greatly reduced my strength so I'm countering with leverage :)
