Snap-On makes a nice tool. Their selection is fantastic, their finish is second to none, and they keep rebuild kits for every ratchet they've ever made! Gotta love that! You've got an Old Snappy ratchet - they got the parts for it. And I've had a handful of Snap-On's over the years. It's just that they were never "that" much better to justify the cost in my mind.
(For example, the pocket core remover pictured lists for $18.50. When I can get pocket tools like this for free, maybe I'd spend $3-4 for a "nice" one. The 15mm combo lists for $50.50. Heck, my NOS Bonney's cost half that. And the new style TPMS torque driver (this is an older like 2012 model) goes for $289!!! Nice tools, but like I say, just can't justify that cost even if I could afford it).
But I snag any I find on my pawn shop hunts. Figured I'd pull together all of the S-O's I have and take a family pic. I had more than I thought! Since I'm just a normal Jo mechanic I'm thinking it's the same with alot of folks.
So post up your orphan Snap-On pieces!
Here's a schrader core remover, tire pressure sensor torque driver, ignition pliers, a ratcheting DOE, combo 15mm, angle wrench, and a pair of sockets (one is some sort of specialty socket).

1927 Milwaukee ratchet
1945 sliding breaker bar
1960 halfer ratcher adaptor
pre 1964 SoMex DOE 5/8-?
None are nice finish and one is rust pocked but all could be used.
I just kinda like these more than the usual fast flip.

I do alot of tire work, flat repair, etc on my fleet of oldnslo vehicles. Dang-nabbit this gave me an idea.
I'm-a-gonna fab me up a repurposed Proto Betr grip screwdriver to sub in where I am using something home brewed for removing Schrader valve stems.

Not to burst your bubble, but Proto made a schrader core tool. #2003

Here's an earlier grouping of Snappy's I had. The ratchet was a rust-bucket when I found it but with a new kit from Snappy and some love it turned out alright.
You just never know when a S-O will show up in a rust bin.

The only ones I really use are my grandfather's blue point 8" adjustable and those awesome 196 needle nosers.
Those vacuum grip needle nose pliers are just beautiful and extremely smooth, so needless to say I use them as much as possible.
That 9/32 midget breaker bar is super cool, but as much as I don't really want to do it I think it may have to go to someone who can appreciate it more than me.

Geo, if you are headed up north to Phx again, we can talk trades on that 15mm. I'd put it in my bike tool box, where I use a 15mm for the axle nuts on my single speeds.

Found another Snappy tucked away in a wrench roll. A open end/flare end combo.
Honestly don't remember when I got this - don't see flares this small (5/16"). Must have been for the open end, as it's really thick and beefy.

Found a pic of pair of 1/4" magnetic bit Snappy drivers I sold (one standard length and a stubby) as part of a lot with some Wera's I wasn't using. Neither of the Snappy's were labeled as such, but the shape of the handle and writing on them gave me the distinct impression as to their brand. The counter person of course thought they were just cheap Asian things.

Those are awesome.
Small slipjoint pliers are surprisingly handy, I've got an old pair from Truecraft made in Japan and I cannot fault them one bit.
Sure if they held a pedigree like Snap-on or really a USA stamp In general I'd love them more, but they have shown me how handy these can be.

Just got these in a trade. I've heard good things about the Talon Grip jaw knurling. Also about the 3 position slip joints.
The tongue & groove don't seem anything special.

Dang it, more Snap-On has infiltrated my tools! :D
12 and 13mm combo wrenches, 1/4" drive handle, #0 phillips, 5/16" universal socket and 10mm allen socket.
There's something about Snappy's hard handle screwdriver design. I really like it. if I wasn't so invested in Proto yellow handles I think I'd be drinking some orange Snappy coolaid! :-[

A complete military 3/8's set from '66 I think. I actually have a lot of Snap-on I have picked up over the years. I only worked in a shop for a bit when I was in school, and never set foot on a tool truck. I was dead broke at the time I didn't want or need the debt.
