I'm guessing these are aimed at store bought jars, and not the ball style jars used for canning?

I had an Ace hardware gift card to spend.

My local ACE is in the middle of renovating and must have just stocked these Mayhew spring punches,  because I'd definitely have bought one before if they already had them.
The cordless screwdriver is something I was just curious about, so far I can say these things sure have come along way from the basically useless B&D " I bought " my dad for Father's Day as a kid 20 years ago.

Agreed. My dad - who was a tin knocker - used Wiss, Malco, and I think Klenk. So they go back to at least the 1960's.

When did it get acquired by Crescent???

Yeah I know, but at least the price was right.
It will be interesting to see how these hold up compared to the 90's pair I have from my grandfather.
I've used those a lot over years and never really needed anything else too much, these were just an impulse purchase on sale at HD.
I think I will probably end up wishing I had bought an angled pair much sooner.

I got that same set of drivers. They wont slip out of the slot as bad as regular drivers but they are kinda brittle. I did break one of the small ones trying to remove a scope on a rifle I bought.
I finally got out the dremel and cut it off, They must have used red loctite on that one.

That's generally the idea with quality gunsmithing drivers.
Sometimes it's better to have a sacrificial tool that breaks before a screw that may be difficult costly or impossible to just replace.
If time is money, I figure most gunsmiths would rather not have to source or make a screw to get a gun out the door.
They're always modifying drivers to fit, so it's probably no big deal to just fix the tip when needed.
I think that's probably why a lot of gunsmiths just go with multi bit options.
Brownells, Chapman, WFMC, or the Grace bit driver, because bits are cheaper to replace.

That's why I really love my Chapman set, that plus the versatility with all the bit extension and handle options.
I'm often using as many as 6 different sizes though, and switching between my 5 driver handles sometimes gets annoying so I decided to add a set of fixed drivers to my arsenal.
I do a little on firearms,  but it's mostly vintage airguns and vintage fishing reels.

It's a bit crude, but I just threw together a foam tray for them to try out.

If I don't like this option I have others.

Which tool goes in the lower open spot, a sight pusher?
