How does somebody as a dumb as a soup get elected to House anyway? One of 435. You may dislike her but dumb? I doubt that.

Have you followed along with what she's said and tweeted?

The demographics in her Brooklyn district are changing rapidly. More younger people and immigrants are now driving the politics. Within her district (and many others across the country) there is HUGE move away from traditional Democrat platforms toward the Socialist Democrat agenda of people like Bernie Sanders. The fact that Pres. Trump was elected and that Bernie was sand-bagged by the old (mostly white) Democrats during the primaries motivated a lot of folks to vote against incumbent Joe Crowley. She capitalized on the backlash, and used the progressive platform to run a "grass roots" campaign to get this younger/immigrant voting block to the poles.

She's not stupid, but she is a very politically and economically naive freshman congresswoman who absolutely doesn't understand the economic consequence of her populist socialist ideas. If anyone calls her out on those ideas she tries to brand her opponent with her xenophobic/racist/LGBTQ name calling bag of tricks. That is not the mark of a smart politician. In fact it's a very lame and lazy way to avoid and side step the conversation.

Exactly!

The demographics be a changing, folks. Older, more traditional voters are dying every day, while younger and more liberal people are turning and start voting 18 every day. Plus there's more immigrants coming in every day, and they tend to be overwhelmingly liberal-voting. Simple numbers thus show that as time goes on, more and more young wackos like AOC are going to get elected. It's not going to end well.

Ray you said that very eloquently.    ;)

Now my version, she found a bunch of people as dumb as her to vote for her.

Very well said Ray. Miss Ocasio Kotex is about to receive her first real education when she gets sworn in to the House. Anybody who thinks she is the future of this country is nuts.

I hope Hillary decides to run in 2020. I would love seeing her limp around with a entourage holding her up while she hacks up green blobs trying to look viable next to Alexandria Cortez.  Comedy central!  :))
