Police chief who gets it
« on: November 16, 2018, 08:44:37 PM »
Just read a story about the police chief in Republic WA which is in the NE part of the state. He said he will not enforce Initiative 1639 recently passed by voters as it violates the 2nd amendment by restricting gun rights. I love the idea of gun sanctuary cities even though they shouldn't be needed.

Our current AG here in NV refused to enforce the stupid Bloomberg funded background check law passed in 2016 by voters. The law requires a background check to sell or even loan a gun to anybody outside your immediate family. The law calls for an FBI BG check but the FBI said they didn't want to mess with the BG checks for that stupid BS and the backers of the bill had never asked the FBI if they would do them. I guess they just assumed passing a state law would require the FBI to do it. The irony is that the new law wiped the old BG check provision off the books for the state to provide free checks for transactions by private sellers.

Our newly elected AG will be sure to try and resurrect the flawed law as he is not too bright. When he was asked what larceny is he couldn't answer that and he is a lawyer. Someone had asked him what larceny was because they saw it on the AG's own arrest record. :o

Here in NY  they tried to make it that you need a background check to buy ammo. The NICS check people said they wouldn't do it for NY. For NY to do their own would be way too expensive. It hasn't gone anywhere as of yet.

I wish our local PD and SD leaders "got it".

They're both just political appointees who do what's best for them.

It's already been happening - it's just this lady is verbally extolling it.
I can't count how many customers I run into who moved here from any number of blue states, and complain and gripe and go on and on about how bad the taxes are, how bad the crime is, how bad the regulations are, blah blah blah. So they move to places like Arizona because it's cheaper here, less crowding, less crime....and then proceed to boast to me how they're voting tax-raising, regulation-crazy, cronyism-loving socialist liberals.  :-[

Of course it’s happening, look at Texas. No way that air drumming moron beto should even came close to winning against Cruz. I think over the next 20 years you will see a major shift in state politics. Texas will turn blue after sucking all of the voting workers from California and New York and many of these deep blue states will realize they have to change to survive and will slowly turn into what Texas and most of the south in general has been doing for the past 20 years.
