Nothin' says "Frontier Life" like a saloon with a live horse in it. Wonder if the horse was the floorshow?  -- LOL

Very nice group, the tow trucks are real interesting.  Got to point out a couple of neat things, the Dodge with the A - P repairs, has a WWII bomb carrier, which were used as makeshift wreckers.  Place I worked at had one.  The military looking truck with EclipseMotors on the side was a Chevrolet.  Many were given to the allies, and not many in the US.

There are still plenty of those Chevrolet 15CWT trucks still around. This one from the local military vehicle collectors club at an event in November.

isn't that some sort of double decker bus chopped into a wrecker?

i suppose whoever made those buses made other vehicles as well. there is a restored double decker  in my town, i think the kiwanas owns it.

It appears to be. I've seen several bus based tow trucks in old photos of bus depots, particularly British ones.

Something a bit more modern, from the 1980's.

One of Doug Hood Contractors Toyota Hilux after Baker Contactors Hough 560 Loader backed over it. Being a Hilux it was still drivable and was able to drive onto the salvage trailer. Bondi, the operator, was more worried about his toolbox. On the Clyde Dam site in the Cromwell Gorge.
