GENERAL TOOL AND MACHINE DISCUSSION / Re: Maybe I shoulda saved 'em ?

I got rid of my Snap-On 3/8 drive impact because of battery issues so I can easily understand why you would part with those ratchets. In my case the deadly trio was short life, difficulty in obtaining replacements, and high cost. I think Snap-On "shot themselves in the foot" with their battery powered tools. I'll never know if they recovered as I can no longer justify Snap-On prices when there are other alternatives that seem to do the job and might actually be equal or better. Good to see that someone found a way to rebuild them better than new.

I had 2 of these laying around that died on my dad 30 years ago.
I threw them away a few years back, but if I knew they could be not only fixed but improved I would have sent them to somebody who might want to fix and make use of them.
Oh well they're gone now.

Certainly not surprised about the makeover of the old girl

Hope the new one serves you well

Bet ya that new one wont last 10% as long as the old beauty.

retire that badass work horse?

i can only assume rust and wear have taken a toll and time has run its course with its tub.

ps. i guarantee you will miss that large diameter wheel when moving over rough ground

There is no way I would let go of this wheelbarrow set out to pasture. Most likely a complete makeover is in its' future...

and upgrade the old wheelbarrow. No idea of its' age or maker; but it served me well.

Never flat wheel

Just purchased a Jackson 6 cubic foot model wheelbarrow. Comes standard with a “NEVER FLAT TIRE!” Nothing new here, I never had a flat tire with the ole time tested model with its' tough steel spoke wheel..

Nice warm Sunday and that calls for a cigar. Southern Draw Manzanita in Robusto. Very flavorful medium to full body. Flavor of a slight caramel and hint of sweet vanilla. The cedar-like bouquet is very pleasing.

Good cigar! First time I’ve tried this offering from SD.

The Mrs. has been watching vermillion flycatchers for awhile. One shows up at her work occasionally, and lately we've seen one at the house. Males have a very bright red chest that stands out among the desert foliage. Very pretty. But too skittish for me to get a picture.

What a beautiful bird! I have never seen one in my area.

I smoked a pipe, like it... It is a pipe thing and it's cool puffing a pipe.
Definitely relaxing
