Snap on 1937 rubber handle drivers

(1/2) > >>

snapmom:
For a short time in 37 Snap on made some rubber handle drivers.  I am missing the 3/8 dr.  model F70R,  so if you have one  you would like ot sell,  holler at me.

goodfellow:
Very interesting snapmom. I'm curious about the handle material. Is it rubber, a rubber compound, or a plasticized synthetic. You may not be familiar with Wright tools, but if you are; is the rubberized material akin to the Wright "tootsie roil" handle material?

slip knot:
I cant imagine those would have survived very well over the years.

Uncle Buck:
WOW, who would have guessed that any ratchet manufacturers were experimenting with rubber cushioning ratchet handles so long ago.  Good luck in your quest to find the missing brother!

Its a hard rubber,  might have been softer at some time.
