International Tool Store Display
« on: October 09, 2022, 07:45:54 PM »
For the last few years, I've been working on an International Harvester tools store display.  Currently I have a frame made for one of the original display boards (I have two boards).  These boards have an outline of the tool or tool set and a corresponding part number.  There is a shelf on the bottom to display larger sets or tool boxes.

These displays are very hard to find and the tools have gotten hard to find as the years go on.  The more odd the tool, the harder to find and the more expensive it is.  Within the past year I saw a putty knife for one of these displays sell for $1500.

The board in my picture is mostly complete.  As pictured, I don't have all the tools that I have on hand displayed yet.

Great idea, especially in corn binder country. Good luck with the collection.

One nice, rare display board.   Kind of remember seeing its like years ago.  Visited the great IHC collection in Avoca Iowa, [now gone], he had tractors, pickups, a Scout, Travelall, cream separators, refrigerators, a display of IHC tractor mounted generators (The Electrall) look it up, but only a few hand tools, and no tool board.  Bet that thing is heavy when fully loaded.   How long you been at this collection?

I buy every IH tool I see if price is right.  Same with the green tractor tools :))
