I love $3.00 box lots!
« on: November 06, 2018, 04:13:31 PM »
Bought this box lot to get a couple of old aluminum power tools (will show them later), and in the bottom were these two Bonney wrenches.  1 3/4" and 1 15/16".  Did I do okay? :)

There is a name for these wrenches, and I'm not sure what it is, water pump wrench?

Service wrenches. Originally for hydraulic fittings in tight spots on aircraft.

I tend to agree with Boneyman but who knows anymore. I tend to think of an engineers wrench as being a single open end wrench but with a longer handle. I think the general name for a short handle open end is a service wrench - sometimes I have heard them referred to as a water pump wrench.

The metric set looks to be chrome or at least shiny. Why don't they list out the sizes?
