Title: CZG buys Colt
Post by: DeadNutz on February 14, 2021, 10:20:18 AM
Just saw this news.

PRAGUE, Feb 11 (Reuters) – CZG-Ceska Zbrojovka Group said on Thursday it would acquire group Colt Holding Company for $220 million and CZG shares as the Czech gunmaker expands in the larger U.S. market.

CZG, whose firearms include CZ (Ceska Zbrojovka), Dan Wesson and Brno Rifles, is active already in the United States and building a factory in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Glad to see it. Colt hasn't had legendary "Colt Quality" for decades. The company has been mismanaged and guided by people who were never firearm enthusiasts but were simply "market MBAs". CZ has the experience, leadership, and commercial success to lead Colt back with innovative designs and superior manufacturing quality.

I'm hoping to see the new Python in a 4" blued version -- if it comes out, I'm ready to write the check yesterday.

You know there was some nimrods running Colt when they announced that they would no longer make AR's for the commercial market.

Hopefully CZ brings colt back to what it once was. Lets hope they do something original and dont start cranking out polymer framed striker fired Gen 3 Glock clones that say "Colt".
