seen in the neighborhood
« on: May 10, 2020, 11:51:42 AM »

There is a guy about my age, Jim, who sells flowers out of his house. The plants cover all the yardage and he apparently sells all over the country. But, he as always had some sort of interesting "farm" vehicle. Before this it was an old McCormick tractor pulling a hay rick. That went a few months ago, and now this old Dodge showed up. It is nice living in an area with these things popping up. It looks like it has been restored, but at first there was an old engine block in the bed, so I don't know what is under the hood.

Gorgeous! -- amazing how these old vehicles have such an impact on people. Everyone loves the sight of a nostalgic vintage truck -- doesn't matter if young or old.

Yes that is cool.

Neighbor had a 51 Chevy dually with a small dump on it.  Not restored though it may have been painted at some point.  One of my customers came in and we walked out back to look at something else and he saw it.  You would of thought he was a school girl that just got asked to the prom by a hot guy.  He bought it the next day.   Got it running within a few days but it had run within the last 2 years so it wasn't major issues.  He paints barns, steeples and large water tanks and wants to put a flatbed on in with an old sandblast set up.  Will take it to tractor and steam shows.

Too give everyone an idea about the neighborhood, this church is just down the street from me

It is really nice to live in an area with so much home pride. Houses are being restored if they aren't already, most people take care of everything without being asked.
