Beautiful night tonight. A CAO Gold with Yuengling Premium. (Some older Yuengling drinkers might recognize the can. Reusing a design of the past to commemorate the 190th anniversary of the brewery.)

This cigar is a Connecticut Ecuador wrapper and Nicaraguan filler and binder. Smooth medium bodied smoke.

This is a good cigar! JR Cigars had a deal on 20 year aged Partagas 1845 Limited Reserve  cigars - sold for about $150 less than regular retail. A Mostly Dominican stick with a sweet wrapper - smokes smooth and light.

I ordinarily like spicy cigars, but this was a delight

Worked on my Caddy DTS most of the afternoon getting it ready for a big road trip. Now time for a cigar. I can’t say enough about these Cusano brand cigars. They come in many shapes and sizes and varying blends and strengths. My favorite is the stronger “CC” Torpedo - for a budget cigar I always come back to this one favorite. Made in the Davidoff Factory in the Dominican Republic and it’s a bargain

TIG welded a neighbor's cracked stainless outboard motor mount last week. It was hard work because the piece in question resides under the waterline and had shown some corrosion; hence it was full of organic junk. Today he dropped off "payment" -- an unexpected surprise to say the least. We never "pay" each other for neighborly help and that welding job was no exception. Until today -- a nice box of L'Atelier Robusto viltolas showed up on my workbench.

Apropos -- L'Atelier in French literally translates to "Workshop" in English. I guess he was making a statement with the gift.

Bottom Line: What a GREAT cigar -- smooth taste from start to finish, great burn, good smoke, and it smokes like a cool after dinner drink. Just a hint of spice, but mostly light floral and coffee notes. Nothing harsh or overpowering about this wonderful smoke.

I'm not usually a big fan of the popular Nicaraguan cigars, but damn this thing is good!! I did some research and found that this is a cigar made by famous blend master Pete Johnson -- who also designed the Tatuaje brand. If you like smooth taste and body - this is a joy. That said, it's definitely not a Cuban type blend.

Yes he is. He rarely smokes a cigar, but when he does it's premium quality all the way, and he usually buys an extra stick for yours truly. Smoking a cigar in the company of friends is a true joy in life.

Had a good laugh this morning -- this ad came via email. The pricing is pretty "upscale" for one box of 20 Cuban cigars. Someone must have harvested my email address from the GG and thought that this was a good way to market their products.

LOL -- some people actually buy at these prices.

Pretty cool Jabber! The idea of a smoking table is a strange concept to most people these days, but they were a big part of "polite" society back in the late 19th and early 20th century; as was the silk smoking jacket and complementary velvet smoking hat (aka thinking cap).
