The Hole
« on: November 16, 2018, 11:33:53 PM »
So, because everyone is showing pics of their shop and sheds, I thought I would show everyone my little hole. From each corner:

My main bench and most of my machinist boxes. Going counter clockwise:

Walker Turner drill press, Craftsman grinder from the '30's and more of my storage.

a crappy pic of my 6" lathe some of the storage. That is the other bench that is cover with projets...

My two main, working boxes and my Delta scroll saw that I am wiring a new start switch in. The whole space is 11' x 13', which works for the most part. When we bought an old house, I knew that my time working on bikes or cars was definitely on the back burner. I mostly restore furniture, lamps, some light gunsmithing, that sort of thing. That and the actual garage is sized for a Model T (it was the first garage in town!) When I do need more space, I have a vintage anex

Thanks, GF! Right now I am in the middle of a work hurricane, so I should have some time this weekend to start getting things organized. I have a few projects I need to make decisions on whether to go forward with or cut my losses on.

Might look a bit cramped, but well stocked for sure, and with the right machines .....

Thumbs up !

That looks like a late '30s Plomb Box on the benchtop in the one pic.  Got a closeup?

Here are a couple more shots of the Plomb box in the corner:

This is a late one, just before they became Proto. You can tell by the rounded corners and painted logo. I keep much of my Proto LA stuff in there, as I have another Plomb top box, in the annex:

Looks well stocked and equipped like Pepi said.  Digging the magnifying lamp and the articulating desk lamp on the bench.  Will have to keep an eye out for the desk lamp, as I don't have one like that.

I see you are like me and don't mind having older storage and such to populate your shop.  I am more about getting a great deal then looking pretty,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,except in the wife department ;D
