I agree Phil -- Ford looks better than any of the pick-ups out there. My question is -- why do they keep making them bigger and more cumbersome every year? It seems that today's 1/2T and 3/4T trucks are the size of their F450 (and above) commercial truck lines from years past. It used to be that if you make it bigger it could haul more. These days they just make them bigger just to one-up the competition.

I have a 2003 Dakota 4x4, and it was considered at the time a mid-sized truck, but if you look at the dimensions, it's almost the same as a 1970's/80s full size 1/2T pickup truck.

I get along just fine with my 2002 Toyota Tacoma. I have yet to really have a problem with the smaller bed. Heck, one day I hauled 3 lathes in the bed home from an auction. I also have a single axle Big Tex trailer I use quite often for bigger stuff.

Hard to believe that someone got big money to design that front end. :)) :)) :))

I think that's the problem - whoever deigned that just got out of school and was the one who agreed to the lowest salary.

Apache,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,sweet

I'll take a short bed, lowered, moderate HP v8 engine, automatic, bucket seats, console shift, with a nice rumble out the tail pipes.

If we go big block, it would have to be tubbed :))

I would want a driver and it wouldn't have to be show quality.  Mama would be into it also

The 60's models were plain ugly in my opinion. I owned a pretty rough pair of them (63 GMC & 60 Cheb, both steppies) and didn't feel bad sending them to the scrap pot in 2008 when it was $250 a ton.

My old man had a 64 Jimmy with the big V6. Said it got the worst mileage of any rig he's ever owned. It spun a rod bearing and he parked it in the field out back, a guy bought it 5 yrs later for $50, dropped the pan, pulled the rod, and drove it home. That's a tough motor.
