Snap-on had a budget line of screwdrivers called Par-V in the early 50's. They show up in the 1950 and 53 catalogs. They used the OctoGrip handles but in translucent amber rather than the black (and later gray) Snap-on used on the regular drivers.
The line seems to have been fairly limited and they don't seem to turn up very often. Part of the problem is the markings wear off and they look similar to a lot of run of the mill drivers. And the two flat blades seem to have led a pretty hard life.
This represents my entire collection of Par-V's always looking for more.
The Snap-on is a Reed and Prince driver not a Phillips.
