i read about this over on channel 3 so i went on a search. my nearest o'reilly's had it hanging up by the counter on a peg. you could almost see it from the door. pretty decent as far as hang tags go. heavy plastic with a nice big combo hole for a single peg or double looped pegs. it has that interesting round disc that sort of clicks when you turn. it has a really nice metal insert that serves no purpose but to requires you to damage the plastic to remove the ratchet in order enjoy its true beauty. my biggest issue is the small print. one can hardly read the prop 65 reproductive and cancer warnings.
my short opinion is that if you are an old codger that smokes and has planted his seed this hang tag could be for you. if you are young and have yet to pollute you body and may be thinking of or trying to reproduce you may want to look at other hangtags even though they all seem to be very similar.

like most other hang tags. they always come with some sort of attachment. this one came with an absolutely tiny 1/4 drive swivel head ratchet. this one comes in at 4 inches long and about 7/8 of an inch across the head. the pics will give you an idea of exactly how small it is. absolutely the smallest swivel head i have seen. the specs say 90 clicks. i didn't check.
that is a matco 1/4 drive 88 in the background.

here it is in comparison to some of my smaller 1/4 rats, back to front.
- williams flex, same as an older snap-on
- armstrong locking flex
- titan 3/8 compact. one of my favorites 72 clicks and the same type of mechanism as an sk tuff1. can also be had in 1/4 drive.
- standard matco 88 tooth
- standard sk roundhead
- the titan micro swivel that came with the hangtag

the first pic is compared to the williams. damn near the same width
the second pic is with the matco 88. it is slightly thicker than the matco but the matco is about as thin as you can get.
like i said for a swivel head this thing is tiny.

I really like that the hangtag is reversible. That ratchet looks like a handy tool to have so I will have to go by O'reilly's and check it out.

The price is right as well. 15 bucks.

Prop 65? Eh....that just applies to folks in CA that use hang tags to dunk their organic BPA free teabags in CA recycled water (or Perrier). Either way, I would just avoid collecting those hang tags because they only come in black, and my collection has overflow-eth-ed on that color pallet. I'm shooting for beige or something in earth tones to to round out my collection.

Titan has a new neon blue aluminum handled version out now that is much lighter.
Titan also released a micro roto ratchet that is a bit ratchet also in the high vis blue color.

My nearest O'rileys is out of these, so I had to order it online for $17 shipped.
I'm a USA hand tool guy , but I made an exception this time because there isn't an American version and because I really wanted to try one out.
No way will it replace my WRIGHT 2426 and 2495 flex head, but it should be useful.

Oh man - you're killing me! That is a tiny little sucker.
It almost felt too small in my hand, as my arthritis is making it hard to grab small items with my left hand. But it does look like it would be sweet.

Let me give you my .02 worth. That tiny ratchet is a good buy but yes it is small very small. In the picture above is a a compact 3/8 roto, also from titan. It is one of my most frequently used ratchets. It is also available in 1/4 drive and see no reason why it wouldn"t be similar.
I guess what I am trying to say is. If you could only pick one. The larger one may be a better choice but asa tool whore both would be best! :hee20hee20hee:

I try to avoid the term "whore" around here cause the Mrs thinks it's salty. ::)
But I get your meaning - the 3/8" probably would work better for me.

if you think 3/8 would work for you by all means do it. what i was trying to get across and don't know if i did was that if you really want 1/4 drive, the 1/4 drive should perform like my compact 3/8. i really don't think you can go too far wrong with any of them for that matter.

I'll have to take a look at the 3/8"er. I've got so many ratchets now it's hard to justify any more buys, but, the swivels heads are nice.

Hangtag is almost bigger then the ratchet.
