Jaffaroonicle....calling Jafferoonicle.

The older Spitfire up stairs is a real find. Been stored in a dry shed for years and years.
Is the need enough? Or does the want suffice?

You know how to hurt a guy. I love that and the green one is a great color.

My wife would have me hanging from a lightpole by parts best not mentioned here if I brought another project home.

If you notice the front wheel on the green one how far to the right it's turned it's not broken or bent - that is one of the things the Spitfires were known for. They had the tightest turning circle (24') of any factory car until the Smart car came along (22.8') and are one of the few factory cars with anti-Ackerman steering.

He was into some neat cars.

The Allison is about as cool as it gets until you get into some modern stuff. There was a time the average guy could get one to stuff into something. Of course that was about the time the average guy could get a hemi to stuff into something.

Anyone know much about the Datsun Fairlady?

I had one as my first car. Bought when I was 15. My brother decided he needed a sports car and dragged me out of bed one morning and told me to go buy it. It had no engine, tranny or radiator. $150. Mine was supposed to be a 2 liter with a 5 speed, so we found one from a local used engine distributor my brother knew. I could never quite get it to run right (Jason having gone off to college by then) but still fun. And loud.

Later sold to to hitchhike around England and Ireland after high school graduation.

I agree that is terrible. My folks had a 1956 Chevy wagon when they moved from IA to CA in 56. I rode along in the hopper.
